(너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라.. 사랑엔 거짓이 없나니 악을 미워하고 선에 속하라. (Romans 12:2, 9)
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world -- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life -- is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." 1 John 2:15-17
(이 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑치 말라 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 그 속에 있지 아니하니. 이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑이니 다 아버지께로 좇아 온 것이 아니요 세상으로 좇아 온 것이라 이 세상도 그 정욕도 지나가되 오직 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 이는 영원히 거하느니라. (1 John 2:15-17)
"Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." John 18:36

In the world -- sharing His Truth and love - but not part of it!
"As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” John 20:21
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?" 2 Corinthians 2:14-16
Those who refuse to love the world face hostility. "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me." John 15:18-21]

"...the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me." John 16:2-3

[소를 잡아 드리는 것은 살인함과 다름이 없고 어린 양으로 제사드리는 것은 개의 목을 꺾음과 다름이 없으며 드리는 예물은 돼지의 피와 다름이 없고 분향하는 것은 우상을 찬송함과 다름이 없이 하는 그들은 자기의 길을 택하며 그들의 마음은 가증한 것을 기뻐한즉. 나도 유혹을 그들에게 택하여 주며 그 무서워하는 것을 그들에게 임하게 하리니 이는 내가 불러도 대답하는 자 없으며 내가 말하여도 그들이 청종하지 않고 오직 나의 목전에 악을 행하며 나의 기뻐하지 아니하는 것을 택하였음이니라 하시니라. (Isaiah 66:3-4)]
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
[이것을 너희에게 이름은 너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 ! 내가 세상을 이기었노라 !’ 하시니라. (John 16:33)]
Choose your position - whom will you follow?
"Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret....
"See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit...." Ephesians 5:8-18
[너희가 전에는 어두움이더니 이제는 주 안에서 빛이라 빛의 자녀들처럼 행하라 빛의 열매는 모든 착함과, 의로움과, 진실함에 있느니라 주께 기쁘시게 할 것이 무엇인가 시험하여 보라너희는 열매 없는 어두움의 일에 참예하지 말고 도리어 책망하라 저희의 은밀히 행하는 것들은 말하기도 부끄러움이라 그러나 책망을 받는 모든 것이 빛으로 나타나나니 나타나지는 것마다 빛이니라
그러므로 이르시기를 잠 자는 자여 ! 깨어서 죽은 자들 가운데서 일어나라 그리스도께서 네게 비취시리라 하셨느니라
그런즉 너희가 어떻게 행할 것을 자세히 주의하여 지혜 없는 자같이 말고오직 지혜 있는 자같이 하여 세월을 아끼라 ! 때가 악하니라 ! 그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고 오직 주의 뜻이 무엇인가 이해하라 술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령의 충만을 받으라 (Ephesians 5:14-18)]
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
[만일 여호와를 섬기는 것이 너희에게 좋지 않게 보이거든 너희 열조가 강 저편에서 섬기던 신이든지 혹 너희의 거하는 땅 아모리 사람의 신이든지 너희 섬길 자를 오늘날 택하라 ! 오직 나와 내 집은 여호와를 섬기겠노라 !’ (Joshua 24:15)]
"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body...." Philippians 3:20
