Just A Walk On The Beach

This is for m. I am quite awkward to speak about anything I will say now because I am quite feeling lazy. I never thought of this negative word for a very long time but, I am kind of feeling it. Anyway, I am going to let it all out.

It was Friday afternoon and definitely was a long week at work. It was a really a fun week although “fun”pertains to “work” because I got to learn undoubtedly new valuable learning again. I am so sure the knowledge and skills I gained won’t go to waste. Since the feeling is quite stuffy in my head and the body is a little bit complaining, I decided to drive to a beach near my place. It was a 20-minute travel and I went to the same place I have been when I arrived here. My co-worker brought me to a home-made sundae shop where you can really taste a variety of super good ice cream. I remember we had “banana split” before.

This time I grabbed some “black forest sundae” which contains blueberries, a cheery, and a landing of mouth-watering frosty on top. I brought some pistachios with me and ate those both. It was really a delectable feast.

After indulging,I headed on for a walk on the beach. One thing I forgot, it was 7pm in the evening, and it was really cold plus too bad I forgot to grab my jacket, which is the reason why I went home first. The parking along the beach is definitely for free and it's just you need to find an available spot. There's nothing to worry about cars being taken, since I believe Americans are well-disciplined people and undeniably law abiding citizen. They won't bother others as well but they are so warm and friendly too.

Some Americans spend their leisure time after work at the beach. They’re just going to bring their own seats and will savor the beauty of the horizon. Some will come to swim enjoying the cool water and others will just read books letting the hours past. I did not bring something to read since it's already dark when I went there but I enjoyed the visit a lot. I will surely never forget this place. I mean this country when get back home. It will be soon..

Two Words: Cherry Blossoms

There are so many beautiful places to see in South Korea. It has always been my dream, plan, and desire to visit Jinhae, South Korea just to see this wonderful place. I have searched and found that there exists a village so great like this.

The city of Jinhae (진해시), is a special city located on a mountainous stretch of Korea’s namhae, or southern coastline. The town is best known as home to the world’s largest number of flowering cherry trees, or beotkkot namu (벚꽃 나무). For only a few short weeks each spring, an estimated 340,000 trees burst into a virtual sea of pale-pink blossoms.

Getting There:

From Seoul, high speed KTX trains leave Seoul Station for Miryang several times daily. From Miryang, the Saemaeul train goes to Jinhae. The 3-hour total journey runs 46,000 won for adults. It was suggested to travel by train so as not to get stuck in traffic and the location is very convenient and beautiful.
Or, take a bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Masan Express Bus Terminal. The 4.5 hour ride costs between 18,200 to 27,300 won (approximate). From Masan, buses leave frequently for nearby Jinhae.

It's too far from Seoul (place where I can stay) but I think nothing is impossible if I really want to be there. However, still I do not have the chance and it is not now, not this year or not anymore? The latter mentioned probability is definitely wrong. I can of course still travel to that country but not yet. It is so unclear and I am praying that it will be soon. I do not ask for anything else and I am happy to be where I am now. God is indeed so good to me by giving such rare opportunity to be here. Nevertheless, it is my hope someday; this seized desire to be at the place I am dreaming would come to reality.

One more thing, I am still struggling to initiate even simple Korean conversations to make me survive if I am in a place where English is not spoken much. It should not happen that I would have spoken no English with locals there too. I am certain, their people can at least converse understandably in English especially their younger generations and those who live in the cities. They make it certain now that English is learnt and taught to everyone since this is a tongue mandatory to be considered as at least a second language.

To avoid language barriers, I must be equipped with some Korean language basics when I go there. It must be the reason, why I am not allowed by the circumstances right now. It’s telling me, you’re not skillful enough to communicate or comprehend. ^^ aw~~ :| 난 할 수있어!

optimistic

Right now, I am so wide-awake at 1:17am. I’ve got boggled eyes and a heavy head but I need to move forward. I need to make a way to figure out several tight spots (aahh~). Where’s my brain? I think I’m losing it but I asked God to give it all back. I am in need of more active brain tissues to run in a well-synchronized manner and to become accustomed conscientiously. I am longing for ancient memories of college day’s thesis type attitude, where you can only see and hear codes, scripts, lessons, numbers, mathematical equations, chemical equations, and the likes.

They all need to come back now and they really should.

Somehow, the recent intellectual capability still can cope but there are words like “focus” and “concentration”, which must strongly exist. I believe everything will be laid in crystal clear, thus must take away the doubt. It is not hard, indeed not complicated; a thought of do-not-work-on-anything-else and keep-the-internet-away-for-a-while should be hugged real tight. You must do it, or else you’re dead (wrong words).

Telling to myself: You have a deadline, you have a goal, you have a duty, you have a promise, you have a commitment, and you have a responsibility to become knowledgeable enough to do things right. Aw~

Always remember that you have a team and nothing can be achieved if you have nothing else to retrieve. Seek assistance, make a move, keep on track, and never let a day pass without stepping one step higher. I am so incompetent said no and I'm starting to think that what I thought as my ticket out of or way to deal is to lose hope. No, I won’t lose hope. I have Jesus Christ and He won’t let me down so as my superiors. I still need to push myself harder and always remember to utilize all resources I can have then move faster. Ah, I should not forget all these; I know I brought something from where I came from. Also, I musn’t forget to take advantage of every opportunity faced before me. I must double the effort, think accurately, but the most important of all is to lay all things in heaven because God is just watching from above. Are all these things easier said than done? No, certainly not.

Be happy even if some things are really hard to comprehend.

My Come Back Post

This morning, I wrote my grocery list and thought of some dishes to cook. I’ve tried to search Google for commonly consumed Filipino foods I really missed since I am away from my family. I wanted to get back to the scent of being home. I’ve got afritada (chicken type dish), caldereta (spicy beef type), beef stew, chicken curry (glad my colleague left her curry powder at home), lumpiang shanghai or the likes (dunno if it is really Chinese cuisine), monggo soup (with pork), ampalaya dishes (it takes more than an hour drive to get this veggie).

Cooking is a skill that one must practice too although some people are really gifted with an expertise on it. For me, being alone and enjoying own cooked meal is a bliss. I am not a good cook but I know this career will make one survive in any place he/she would be.

I want to try some with more vegetables because some foods in this place where I am has too much of something, plus they cost quiet a lot. I think it is best to cook my own food, thus I must to rush to the supermarket.

Furthermore, I would like to visit a theme park today but I decided to postpone because I need to work on something more important. I know life should be savored while opportunity lasts but still I should not forget my duty and why I was brought here. I have responsibilities that should not be neglected.

This statement is something that could be a typical notion of people who like to avoid getting emotionally hurt. Always love like you've never been hurt because God has created a single piece of blood-pumping organ in our body, so-called heart in every man in this world. It is impossible that He has no one for each and every one of us^^.. Stay faithful and just offer a heart full of prayers to Jesus.^^ (unrelated notes to the song here:) but..

This wonderful song in my interpretation is actually about a man singing to the Lord Jesus who started loving him. He was asking the Lord when the exact time he was loved. It feels so good for God to remember the days when the child begin being so full of life^^ as it's described in this song. It's a cloud 9 feeling to be loved by Jesus^^

In a secular hearing, this may looked like a man singing to his female bestfriend and the man did not notice the girl before but he realized her now. He was asking his bestfriend, how long she has been waiting for the appropriate time to hear these romantic words from the man she has been longing for so long. He finally came to his senses that someone close is loving him (cute~).

I am so in love with this amazing song. If God would permit, I would like to have this played on my wedding day^^. Just a dream for now^^.. but still waiting for the “set-apart man” from Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Wrong reasons why men pursue women today

Why do men pursue women? Is it to find pleasure? Is it to feel romance? Is it to look after her heart? Is it to fill that longing to be loved? There are a lot of different reasons why men pursue women and ask for their love and affection. I want to talk about the 2 wrong reasons why men pursue women today.

These ideas were derived from John Eldredge’s book “Wild at heart”

He will pursue her not to offer his strength but to drink from her beauty

I don’t know if you agree with me on this but I think men today pursue women all for the wrong reasons. We don’t pursue her because we know we are the best person for her to be with and entering that relationship will glorify our God, rather we usually pursue women because we find her beautiful and we want that.

I won’t dictate what’s right or wrong, but ladies let me ask you, “Do you want to be pursued just because you’re beautiful?”

It’s true that beauty has a big part to play on men because that’s God’s design for us. We love beauty and we fall for beautiful women but pursuing a woman because of her beauty is a very dangerous reason for a relationship to start. It will easily break when that beauty fades away. And have I mentioned that it’s a selfish reason? It’s selfish because you love her due to the fact that she’s beautiful and it gives you confidence and contentment that you’ve conquered such a beauty – not because you want to give her your strength, your best, your all.

Pursuing a woman because of her beauty doesn’t make you someone who really loves her – because if you really love someone, you will want the best for that person. Meaning, you would have to search yourself. Verify yourself. Are you the best for her? If not, then don’t even think about it, buddy. In the end, you’ll just leave her heartbroken, not to mention you’ll wound yourself along the way.

Sometimes it’s not really women we’re after but our heart

Men, do you realize that when you pursue women, it’s sometimes a matter of getting accepted by the woman? A woman’s “yes” is one of the hardest thing (supposedly) to fight for. And we’ve made that our challenge and our adventure. We’re not really after the woman, often times we’re after our heart – our heart which was lost when we were young and raised in a broken family, lacking acceptance, lacking affirmation, lacking masculinity, lacking our manhood.

This is a dangerous misconception to be trapped in. We make women the way to searching our hearts. In essence, we are just using her to “feel like a man”. You might not agree with me, but I urge you to just think about it – especially those in a relationship right now. Even married men sometimes fall into this trap. They get their affirmation from their wives. Women can never validate your manhood. Only God can do that - I hope to discuss that soon in this site.

So how do we find our heart?

Sometimes we pursue a woman because it “feels right” – that feeling is the feeling of adventure and being accepted – it is the feeling of being a man. It was never meant to be answered by a woman. That feeling will always be temporary when you get it from her. Yes it might be the closest thing to “feeling like a man” that’s why so many men fall into adultery and pornography, but that’s not really it. Turning to a woman for your manhood is cowardice. You’re a coward.

You have to find your affirmation from God – which is way, way harder. That’s why some people would rather womanize than follow Him. Looking for your affirmation in God means abiding in His word. Giving Him your time. Having a personal relationship with Him. It is following the example of a real man – Jesus Christ, whose manhood was bestowed by God Himself (His father).

Only then can you pursue a woman

When you really have become a man – not just a facade you’ve put up as so many of us have done. “Surrender” is the word we all hate because of our competitive nature. And unless we realize that it’s the only way to become a real man as God has designed a real man to be, we will always keep on struggling against it. Surrendering is even harder than fighting – it is where real strength and wisdom is tested. The time when we surrender ourselves to God is the only time He can work on us and tell us “You are a man.”
