Finding Happiness In Cooking

Evansville, Indiana
April 2014

I understand that others might find it funny to see posts of food photos. However, this is considered an addictive trend of mostly women who are so fascinated to feed not only their hungry stomach but to pamper their being food aficionados. Most women love to cook and I admit I learned it the hard way. Since I was a child, cooking for myself and my siblings has been my role since my mother has to work and stay at work for long hours.

There is one thing that I truly missed the most from my home country - a variety of green leafy vegetables. Since the weather in the USA is changing every three months, it is a little impossible to grow those kinds of edible leaves we have in my country. The only substitute I guess I can have is the "spinach".

These days, I learned that people must start their food diary. Make life busy taking health notes and take precautions of the kind of food intake we have. I believe that having 90% of just vegetables in a food plate won't do any harm. It will add more years even more I believe. A littlw chunks of meat once in a while is healthy too because meat is the source of protein aside from eggs and fish.

Some of the dishes I cooked are just my own idea but most of the time, I contemplate how healthy it should be and get some you-tubing for cooking procedures. I have not gauged my cooking abilities yet but my precious one loves my dish so much (most of the time, hehe ;[ ) Cooking skills, I think should be mastered by every woman since we'll be bestfriends with the kitchen all the time.

Have a happy cooking!! ^_~

Thank you LORD JESUS, the mid-year bonus has been given already and just in time for my kid's school enrollment deadline. I am relieved that I can pay her school in full. It is better to do this lam-sum payment than in installment so that I won't have worries every quarter period of the year. #happiness
