Greatest Gift of Love for 2014

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, (Colossians 1:9)

LORD, I pray for the people You have put in my life and in my heart. Fill them with wisdom and understanding and the knowledge of Your will so that they will learn to hear Your voice and come to know You better, so that they can have a closer walk with You. I pray that for myself as well.

Today, I was sent with a very good news about something special at home. My GOD's gift, my child was given an academic/school recognition which is not only one but two. She has worked really hard on it. She was very diligent in examination review sessions in school although we don't really see her doing it so much at home. When she arrives home, she will choose to grab her books and read a lot instead of reviewing her lessons. That's her job when at home. If her cousin is around too, she will play fun stuff with her. We made sure that during long-exam days, they did not spend too much time on playing. Even though I won't be able to attend her "School Recognition Day" at the end of next week, I am always there in her heart and she really knows it. It is my goal to always ensure that she knows her place in my heart. She knows why I am away from her now and Jesus has already made her understand all that. She is a very young child but her mind is so understanding about everything in life. There were only three things she requested me to give her as presents. She wanted ice skating shoes because it is so expensive in my country. She wanted me to buy her a simple ice skating attire and some Bible-stories books and anything educational written in English language. Being a bookish gave her a lot of opportunities to come on stage and participate in school programs where her skills in speaking was challenged in a way that everyone has seen how good Jesus is in her life. She likes to speak in English a lot. She used these skils to create several prayers written and spoken in English. She is a bright kid. I am so thankful to the LORD of Heavens that He made my child so happy once again. We would like to offer everything we do to You, our LORD. Instill in our minds and carve in our hearts that You are always there for us. You are always there watching every move we make, You listen to everything we say, and You cover our soul with Your blood of Hope, Love, and Guidance as we face each day. I could never thank You enough with my words right now LORD JESUS.

I will also take this opportunity to give thanks for another batch of blessings You bestowed me. I was sent abroad for another site assignment, to a place where You wanted me to explore more. It is really good to be back here in the USA, oh GOD. To experience a life with new people and to learn new things about my work. It is a very rare opportunity which I am now experiencing once again. I would like to make the best of what You offer here for me my LORD. Please give me the knowledge and wisdom as I take this new role. Give me all I need to make my duty as pleasing as it should/can be to my superiors and co-workers. Please give me the strength to fulfill my duty while enjoying everything about this new job, while creating memories with new people, and while savoring the beauty of new places. Bless those people who gave me this wonderful chance of life. You made them an instrument of hope for me and my family too. I am really so grateful with that.

Thank you for the protection, for the gift of love, for the encouragement, and for the assurance that everything is already planned accordingly on Your time table of life.   Please guide me everyday as I go to work and to other places. Allow me to know more people and learn more about life from them. Life's experiences is a good teacher but mentors of hope obtained from people is a plus.

To GOD be All the Glory. Amen.

You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with You. (Psalm 139:1-18)
