...One of the most enjoyed first-time experiences in Seoul with a dear Korean chingu is our lunch at Tong-in Market. Unlike the usual dining experience, my appetite has been served well with what I expected to taste. My Korean friend and I took the Seoul City Tour Double-Decker bus from Dongdaemun place and alight near the Gyeongbukgung where this unique diner is found in the heart of a local market. It was so great to visit with a native Korean because you are given more information about the Dosirak (도시락) dining mechanics. It was so much fun indeed. 

Lunch Time at Dosirak (도시락) Café 

Off our lunch trays, stuffed to the brim with delicacies bought with the yeopjeon tokens at the Dosirak (도시락) Café in November 27, 2014 at Tong-in Market, within the heart of Seou, South Korea.

Tong-in Market is located just next to Gyeongbokgung Palace. For just KRW 500, a so-called Lunchboxes, or dosirak (도시락) could be taken. After paying 5,000 won ($5USD), we ware given a string of coins that were to be used at the vendors in the market marked with the Doshirak sign. We received a tray and headed downstairs to get our food grub on.

Everything looked fantastic and it was difficult to figure out what to order first.  We wandered up and down the main strip of the market to see what was for sale.  Older women and men worked over grills, flipping, roasting, tossing, and stirring. The experience of a first-time savoring aromas lured us from stall to stall, which offered up everything from grilled fish and beef to spicy looking vegetables to fried things I couldn't easily identify.  Although the foods were all priced differently, nothing cost more than 3 coins (1,500 won) and most items were 2 coin (1,000 won).  We loaded up my tray with some of my favorite dishes as well as some we had never tried before and headed back to the cafe, where my friend ordered soup and rice for 2 coins each. Park Jongmin is from Incheon but he is familiar to the place because since usually visits the downtown Seoul. Some of these foods are naturally known to him. He suggested that we order differently so I can taste more dishes and we will share our trays to each other but look at the photo of our trays, it looked like we ended up almost having same kind of foods. :P 

Everything that we had ordered was fantastic and although we tried hard to eat it all, I was completely stuffed and simply couldn't. My dear friend told me to stop and don't force myself to take what I could no longer. My mind uttered I wanted to eat them all because this is a very first but my tummy says no. There aren't many places where you can eat well and get full for less than 5 bucks, which makes Dosirak Cafe an excellent find for those on a budget. In addition, visiting Tong-in Market is a truly unique dining experience and is a wonderful way to sample some of Korea's best market foods.

Rest as hard as you work

There’s a fine line between the amount of work you do and the rest that you allow yourself. Rest can take the form of physical rest, or, for most of us, mental rest. Exercising, deep breathing, and vacations will take care of your mental rest. If you feel physically exhausted, try switching up your workout routine or take a week off. You will come back fresh and ready to do more.

Spending quality time with your kid(s), nephews/nieces, and friends is one way to temporarily stay out of your work routine slash quite stress. 

Once recharged, produce more good output with positive outlook and with clear mindset towards achieving your goal.

Baking - Some New Skills To Master

Baking is a food cooking method that uses prolonged dry heat by convection, rather than by thermal radiation, normally in an oven, but also in hot ashes, or on hot stones. The most common baked item is bread but many other types of foods are baked. Heat is gradually transferred "from the surface of cakes, cookies, and breads to their centre. As heat travels through it transforms batters and doughs into baked goods with a firm dry crust and a softer centre". Baking can be combined with grilling to produce a hybrid barbecue variant by using both methods simultaneously, or one after the other. Baking is related to barbecuing because the concept of the masonry oven is similar to that of a smoke pit.

We all are becoming so artistic, creative and scientific, in terms of cooking that new methods are created to cook food which not only enhances its flavor but also minimizes cooking time. Baking is one of them. Baking refers to cooking food in sealed enclosure. In past, food was baked closed under wooden or stone stove or underground but these days special purpose stoves are available for baking food and those are called ovens. Oven is advanced version of a simple stove. It has the ability to cook food by baking, grilling etc.

An Oven can be operated either by using electricity or gas. Electric and gas ovens are both used for all types of cooking but electric ovens are generally used for baking cakes and bakery items in bulk , while gas ovens are preferred to use for rest of the cooking which includes roasting, grilling etc.

We decided to have an gas thermostat oven which also include a grilling feature that is so ideal for December (Christmas) cooking plans.

Now by learning these benefits of baked food, I usually prefer to use it rather than cooking by deep frying and making oily food on stove. Although, we can’t ignore the importance of stove cooking but whereever possible it is better to bake your food. Don't slump into too much sugar though which means, avoid doing baking stuff with a lot of confectionaries.

Honey Lemon Ginger Tea :P

Feeling cold? Stuffy? Sore throat? Honey Lemon Ginger Tea will cure what ails you. The heat and the ginger warms you right up, the steam and the lemon and the ginger help clear those sinuses, and the ginger and the honey soothe that scratchy throat. Makes 1 mug Honey Lemon Ginger Tea.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp. freshly grated ginger (you must peel it)

1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 Tbsp. honey, plus more to taste

Preparation:

1. Put the ginger in a tea pot or medium bowl. Pour 1 cup boiling water over it and let it steep for 3 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, put the lemon juice and the honey in a large mug. Strain the ginger tea into the mug.

3. Stir to dissolve the honey, taste, and add more honey or lemon juice if you like.

Books Fall In Love With You, Too

You fall in love with every book you touch. You never break the spine or tear the pages. That would be cruel. You have secret favorites but, when asked, you say that you could never choose. But did you know that books fall in love with you, too?

They watch you from the shelf while you sleep. Are you dreaming of them, they wonder, in that wistful mood books are prone to at night when they’re bored and there’s nothing else to do but tease the cat.

She is 9 years old, a fourth grader and she fell in love with books when she entered Elementary School. She likes to read books and every time I will go back home from my USA on-site assignment, I see to it that I have hard-bound books brought for her in my baggage. Some would ask why she chose hard-bound or paperback books instead of leaning on being so savvy with gadgets containing bunch of e-books. Once she is done with some of her books, she is thinking of donating them to her school library so that other children can read them too. Her love of books equipped her to enhance the second language really well. It is taught since nursery level and it became one of her favorite subjects. To further enhance her English language skills, she try to create her own or attempt to adapt stories she has read and one of those master piece is the fictional novel below called, "In Atlantis, My World". I enjoyed reading it and I could say her English literacy is a more better than mine.

An Unexpected Guest

As expected, on Saturday I drank hot coffee while watching T.V. A scent of miracle! I sighed dreamily. OH, sorry I did not introduce, my name is Nina Wilson Bangfur an investigator of I.I.S company. I work with my mouse friends Thea Stilton, Will mystery and The thea sisters. Just then a shiver ran down my tail, was someone there? I looked all over and was probably going to hit my coffee when I already saw who was bothering me. It was Pamela! One of the Thea sisters Oh, what was she doing here flying with her helicopter late at 9:00 night? She alas explained that she was not alone, she was with some of my other workmates Thea, Will ,Nicky, Colette, Violet, and Paulina. Also, she said that I must come to an emergency one world again is in danger! I Quickly opened the window and jumped straight to the helicopter, AN ADVENTURE IS UP AGAIN!!!@ Atlantis 

In The Hall of Seven Roses

As we walked in the hall there became awns once again when we saw another Land broken in pieces, So torn apart! WE were so shocked, It was the very 1st time we saw this. Pam then joked, “Who Has a tape?! This must not be seen or maybe cover up with cheese sauce,!” but that did not exactly make us paced it was the most hilarious, most crazy, and the most whatever joke! Also it made me hungry. Well, not to hurt my friend I kept that in my mind. Will explained for us to join to this journey, Also after a while we went to the elevator, Will typed the piano again and we heard the voice of this woman speaking, “Atlantis, Atlantis, Atlantis” the voice was magical I thought of. 

Wow

Violet then suddenly came up to write in her diary and then look over to draw them, for my guess she probably wants for me to copy her hobby. But as far as I knew both of us are different. Colette squeaked with delight when we arrived at ATLANTIS! I think it was more beautiful than IRELAND, just thinking of the sight make all of our eyes beam! “Truly magnificent for the scent of emerald lakes like in… IRELAND!” Nicky thought. Just then we walked away from the shore and noticed Violet was missing, she could be somewhere! About thinking that we were alike with the notebooks. It was shocking absolutely for Thea, but we looked around Thea was nowhere either! Oh no, 2 mouselettes missing!!! what now. We looked and searched but got spilt into 3 groups, :ME (Nina) and Will Mystery, Paulina and Colette, also Pamela and Nicky.: We all got split, our major task was to find the Blue man lying sadly on shore who makes the waters fill up and destroy it! But Wow! Who can possibly rescue 3 persons at the same time? 

Our Search

As Will and Nina where searching Pamela and Nicky were likely getting hungry when suddenly they bumped into Violet and Thea mouse! Thank Good mouse! By first timers we got so lucky but now we (the others still need to finish our TASK!). “According to my notebook, The blue man’s name was after his Land ‘LANTIS’! was his name” announced Violet. After a while when the group of Thea was walking, we seemly got low pressure of The Creepy Internet, so we cannot contact the other groups! I sighed for graveness it was HOPELESS NOW! The light suddenly faded and turned grayish – black night. By other terms at least Will brought our camping Bags! We can have marshmallows but it is impossible to roast it in a windy night like this… “whew” Will sighed “ it seams I'm so sleepy get some rest too, Nina” he yawned. Oh poor shay! He became so tired of carrying our bags that’s why. So tomorrow when the sun is on place We will just continue. And I slept (NINA). 

Continued Journey

I woke up when I saw the blast of sun ray touch my skin. It was a night! Still Will and I (Nina) need to go hiking for hours till’ we find my friends “Whew, so complicated!” I sighed. As I turned around facing away from sun Will poked me and asked me to look where he was looking. Oh mozzarella, My friends! They were running towards us, I quickly hugged them so tight, we squeaked for hours and continued on. We went strait to the shores of Atlantis and probably was going to be hit by the waves. We did got hit! So we Dressed up. KING LANTIS was a bit of getting picture in my mind, “What did he do to get this place destroyed?, How did he became so sad?, And Who make him sad and angry?!” questions were hovering me and my head So somehow I wished that this was over “I miss home super really, to drink coffee with marshmallows and read a mysterious book or maybe watch and sit in the couch.” I moaned. But my five friends wondered where is Paulina and Colette they must be with us ! Again I moaned and asked myself “where are they?, Did they got lost?” one searching is to be done again, MY WORST NIGHTMARE FOR A LOVELY DREAM!!!@

As we went again searching for Paulina and Colette, suddenly walked in “THE CAVE OF ANGRY ROCKS” where all of us saw the very tall, pretty and poised Fairy sitting in the heart stone of the cave weeping so sadly. The friends of mine did not want to frighten her so I go myself. When I got inside, It was darker than I imagined it would be. The fairy seemed alone, when she looked at me her eyes sparkled like sapphire blue, her dress was made of yellow golden petals, and her wings was rubbish red. I took a hankie from my pocket and was forced to wipe her tears so I politely said, “Excuse me fairy don’t cry I wont hurt you, here take this wipe dry your tears.” after that I felt confident she would not cry anymore, just then after my positive thinking Her pointy ears perked up and asked “Thank you, but what do you want?. Go away I don’t know you!” her words flew to my ears and sounded like music, I asked her “ Did you see… um….um… 2 other mouse girls like me pass here?, I hope.” , “Y….yes!, I… I will be happy to help you find them. Since you showed me kindness, Follow me!!!” She muttered happily. My friends cheered and followed me deeper into the cave.

Finally Together...
WE walked and walked in the cave deeper and deeper without any chances of stopping I finally became tired and said , “Miss fairy I think we mu—” she masked my mouth shut and we started to hear eerie sounds. I took her hand away and was hearing the sounds again, she whispered something “The Army!, quiet everybody and everyone hold to their friends’ hands… quickly!!!” it seemed so desperate when we saw our grounds shaking, someone is coming! Luckily the Fairy sprinkled us wing magic and we flew off away from them! “Yes, we’re saved! Hooray!!! Hooray!!! Hooray!!!” We cheered. And for minutes we found Paulina and Colette but it seems they were not hurt, They were in fancy princess Diane chair, and eating from a gorgeous gold thin table! Whew, Good mouse they were safe… As I (Nina) was about to sit Colette stopped me and cried out , “No stop! We are here stuck because of a spell like the thing with the Yum Fairies in Erin, So we got stuck there are no fairies but only the magic of the wind brought us here, I think?” I sighed and then was thinking “how did the wind bring them there? oh no!” but after an hour the wind again blew and took them away from the chairs. “yes. Whoop!” I cheered and we went along leaving the table and the chair.

I am not a Western woman so somehow I am not directly hit by the list of strikes above. I actually became well informed of what an American woman appears to a Western man? Or any man? Perhaps, the article is a mere expression of the author's bitterness since he might have had several bad experiences with them or injustice against American girls embraced him. I would like to say that it is a reallity and certain truth that the majority of Western women posses positive chakra within them. (Chakra pertains to all positive things a man can think about). Each woman definitely has their own lapses but it is not fair to hold it against them. As an Asian, I know some women of my own race and I will also say that some of these in the list apply to them. However, is it more encouraging to say that some professionals in my country display better scenes of who they are inside and out with men. Every situation which would require a screening of a woman is considered case-to-case-basis because every person is indeed different similar to how we see different men. 

Some women in general for example, do not know how to fill a man's empty stomach but still it depends on the man's acceptance of her imperfection (if I could consider poor cooking skill a flaw). Many women who are skilled and strategic in everything could easily adapt and make adjustments by, let say, learning how to prepare a meal a person loves. A way to a person's heart is through the empty stomach. I generalize this idiom because it is a blessing to be shared with something you love-food. 

An ideal woman does not exists but it is the differences of two people which serves as a primary key to learning how to be successful and feel happy about women or vise-versa. It is always a woman's hope/prayer that men would appreciate, acknowledge, consider, respect, care, protect, and love them with all truthfulness. It is also certain that meeting good qualities of a man each woman desires is not through a game of fate but a matter of hard-work. 

On the other hand, I respect the opinion of the author and although the article denounce negative truth about western women, I strongly disagree to his predicament because, so far, all American women I met during my every visit/stay in the USA are nice, sweet, and posses an aura of being well-educated instead of seeing them with the opposite defined characteristics.

Questions Answered :)

Since no one could better explain, and since no documents have been presented to further elaborate, indeed an in-depth prayer to Jesus could help enlighten my soul. Finally, the prolonged questions have been answered by a thorough/extensive Internet research. It could be a general response to people like me and I will accept the realities with a happy heart. Maybe, there is another/different way to be with her in abroad someday. I just have to hardly pray and keep in mind that everything is for the better. ^___^ One thing is for real, there are two colors of oceans which a beach sandbar divides. It is either see the left side as brighter than the other and/or pick the right side for the best. 

LORD JESUS, I would like to serve You with Your people. Thank you for every tear that sheds from my eyes. 

It Is Meant To Be Lived

It was indeed another wonderful memories of meeting people and sharing something in their lives. Another great experiences I won't forget that I am so thankful for to LORD JESUS. It is a bliss sans the confusions but rather a eloquence that in no time, a conceived perception will come clear. A prayer is laid upon the Almighty. A dream of being in a world of ups and downs since they always become mentors to become more stronger, to act more nicer, and to shine more with Jesus so that they could see how GOD works in our life. I have so much hope within me, I have so much dreams/goals to achieve not for myself but more for my family. Seeking healing, comfort, protection, and guidance as I take each day of revealing how every piece of the puzzle could be missing sometimes. 

I am in a situation of uncertainty, a little inner chaos, a little confusion, and a little feeling of loosing a battle. I know I have prayed for things to happen my way but the situations sometimes will dictate much of what is necessary to occur. It is my sole responsibility, my only decision to accept the reality or make a move towards achieving my dream with GOD's help. Everything has an explanation which I admit I don't care sometimes. However, ignoring things that happen at a similar pace somehow is a sign of being weak. In a continuous struggle to kindle a light within, to find the missing puzzle pieces in a scrabbled flocks of infinities. I am praying and hoping that someday, I will find our right place, right time, right event, and right person to be with under GOD's omnipotence and delicate care. 

Please Take a Look

Even if the situation does not give what you have prayed about, just keep praying.. :) 

Even if you feel you don't fit in and you don't belong, there are many arms who will hug you tight someday :) 

Even if you cannot eat a favorite food you dreamed of having, when time comes you can cook it on your own :)

Even if someday you will just have "anybody" that you know nobody, there will be some who will remain. :)

Even if you don't know where you wanna go, just keep moving forward with GOD's guidance. :)

Believe that the "someday" with come, that the "happy" word will surface, and that "Thank you" will come out of your lips again. :) 

Hoping someday I can be with my kid while pursuing my career of offering/giving out my technical support service abroad. I am sorry if I will decline the offer this time. GOD has indeed a better plan for me, my kid and my family and it is an encouragement to be in a place where people consider you as their co-worker or team member and not just simply  a "contractor". So sad. :'(
