Rainy Weekend..

It was 83F, it felt like that today while ironing clothes and doing some home stuff. Did not turn on the AC to let the sweat get out of my immune system. Must workout these days too because stretching is mandatory since the bone anatomy is complaining that it kind of breaking. Hmm.. ha, I do not know what I saying while talking to my dear one. :) lol everywhere, I can see smiles over the free call :)

Indeed, it was such a nice Saturday all day at home. ^_____^ just for today :) I guess.

Nothing can compare to the happiness of hearing such precious cute voice which is  8,000 miles away but knowing she is enjoying the summer back there is indeed priceless. I am just so sad if she forgets remembering I am waiting for her call once she gets out of the bed since it is school vacation these days. Thank you Jesus for having her. :)

I will start learning to get an audio book for myself.

-----------------------------------------------

The rain come and clouds started to accumulate with a roaring thunder. "How to hear the voice of GOD?"

Dear Jesus, thank you for today's church service message. I am so blessed by the Word of GOD I heard this morning and it is so fruitful, educationl and indeed striking. Also, I met a Filipino family in my first time at the church. The wife approached me and asked if I am a Filipino. They welcomed me to meet them again next Sunday and they invited me to come over to their home. I am so grateful and I know GOD brought me to this Christian church for a special reason. I feel so blessed every minute of my life.

My Easter Season In The US of A

Last 2012, I have experienced the USA Thanksgiving Day celebration in New Jersey with my Filipino co-workers. I had my 2013 Easter season in Taunton, MA with my churchmate's family. This time, I will be with my Filipino co-workers again to celebrate the Easter season. It is an almost 4.5-hr drive which is really quite far and I pray that the weather will be nicer to me. Thank you LORD JESUS.

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

We went to Centennial Park in Munster, IN and visted MSI, the Museum of Science and Industry near Chicago, IL

Manila friends and co-workers

I had so much fun today (April 20, 2014) with my Filipino co-workers/friends. My Friday-to-Sunday day is a full-pack adventure. Last Good Friday, I was able to taste a sumptous catfish sandwich with fries delight (hehe). At Highland, IN - I had a Saturday picnic at the park then my frienda and I visited Coal Mine and U-505 Submarine in a science museum in Chicago, IL. Thank you LORD JESUS for this very rare opportunity to be with some of my Filipino co-workers here in the US of A.

I am looking forward to seeing my American co-workers tomorrow (21.April.2014) for another nice work week ahead. :)

지금 한국의 슬픔

난 정말 슬프요ㅠㅠ. Jindo (진도), South Korea. Airpockets, Capsized ferry. High school students. March 16, 2014. USA Navy ship to the rescue once again. This great country has been on the go everywhere you look. When my country had the Super Typhoon last November 2013, they were there. In Ukraine riots, in Malaysian MH370 disappearance and just recently helping our Asian country neighbor-South Korea doing a rescue of a lot of capsized-ferry passengers.

My heart really goes out to the families of the students who were on board in a ferry which sank in South Korea last March 17, 2014 (Korean time). Nearly 300 people are still missing. One Korean mother showed an SMS from her son saying "they are not dead yet..." and they are being told to stay put. No one knows if that student is still alive by now (as of writing this post). It is really heartbreaking to hear more and more people are losing their lives from an accident like this. Is it because of just the nature of the surrounding, or merely their fate or just all about GOD's Will? It is hard to learn that in just a matter of 6 months since November 2013, many people have died or went missing towards a real uncertainty. I pray that nothing like these will occur anymore. I pray to GOD to protect all people and forgive us in anything that have caused HIM so much pain.

I am also hoping many will still get rescued because those students have so many dreams to reach for.

Students are still texting their parents saying "goodbye", "i love you" words which is reaaaaaaaaally a HEARTBREAKing way of them dying!! :(

Four Blood Red Moons (April 2014 - September 2015)

Joel 2:30-31
New International Version (NIV)
30 I will show wonders in the heavens
and on the earth,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

Acts 2: 19-20
"And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord,".

In 2014, the first of 4 total lunar eclipses occurs on Passover (First Feast Day), April 15, 2014, followed by a solar eclipse on April 29, 2014, then the second total lunar eclipse occurs on the Feast of Succoth (Last Fall Feast Day), October 8, 2014, followed by another solar eclipse on October 23, 2014. The civil year beginning with the total solar eclipse on September 13, 2015 followed two weeks later by the fourth total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth, September 28, 2015.

In 2015, The Jewish new year falls somewhere in September or October. For the year that spans 2014-2015, the new year (which is one of our most important religious holidays) is September 24th - 26th.

Tetrads of four sequential lunar eclipses with no intervening partial lunar eclipses occurs 6 other times in this century, but this is the only time it occurs on the Jewish holy days of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles.

The last time that four blood red moons occurred together was in 1967-1968, probably related to the recapture of Jerusalem by Israel. The time that the tetrad occurred before this was in 1949-1950, probably related to Israel becoming a nation. Before this time, the last occurrence was 1493-1494, probably related to the expulsion of the Jews from Spain.

Since 1 AD, this tetrad has occurred on these holy days a total of 7 times. In 2014-2015, it will be the 8th time. It won't occur again for another 500 years.

Christians are deeply anticipating for something that can happen which Jesus has biblically wrote in His Holy Book - The Bible. His return is SOON SOON SOON!! NASA has all this same info on their website.

It is clearly written in God's Word. Genesis 1:14 that the sun, moon, and stars were for SIGNS and seasons

When to Watch
Night owls, rejoice: the lunar eclipse will begin around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, on the East Coast.

Three sets of blood-red moons that corresponded to significant events:

The Spanish Inquisition final year 1492 when the Alhambra Decree ordered all remaining Jews who would not convert to Christianity to leave Spain, the 1948 War of Independence and the 1967 Six-Day War had back-to-back, blood-red moons occur on the first day of Passover and Sukkot the following two years or beginning the same year of the 1967 Six-Day War for two years.

* First Day of Sukkoth, Sept. 28, 2015

John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church, a New York Times bestselling author, founder of John Hagee Ministries and Christians United for Israel, made a book to testify and clearly staet the GOD use the heavens as His own personal, high-definition billboard to announce things to come.“Four Blood Moons” derives its title from full lunar eclipses called “blood moons” because only the infrared band of light gets around the Earth, making the moon appear red. In some centuries there is a very rare series of four consecutive blood moons, called a “tetrad” by astronomers.

Tetrads have occurred on the Hebrew holy days of Passover and Sukkot only three times in the last 500 years. These same three dates in Israel’s history just happen to be the most important dates for the nation, writes Hagee. “Four Blood Moons” discusses these three incredible historical events in detail:

In 1493, the four blood moons occurred on the Hebrew holidays of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles. This signified the beginning of the fall of Spain following the expulsion of the Jews a year earlier and was God’s announcement to the world that “the mantle of prosperity had thusly been placed on the shoulders of the infant nation that would become the United States” since it became a refuge for the Jewish people.

The second appearance of four blood moons appearing on Hebrew holy days was 1949-1950. They occurred on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles and coincided with Israel being declared a nation.

The third occurrence was in 1967-1968, when the Six-Day War took place, uniting the city of Jerusalem for the first time in 2,000 years – a monumental prophetic event, writes Hagee.

What’s more, the next four blood moon tetrad, falling on the same Hebrew holy days, is set to occur starting April 2014 – only the fourth time in the last 500 years. The dates are:

April 15, 2014 – Passover
October 8, 2014 – Feast of Tabernacles
April 4, 2015 – Passover
September 28, 2015 – Feast of Tabernacles

After the first two blood moons in this sequence, and before the final two blood moons, will be a solar eclipse on March 20, 2015 – Rosh Hashanah.

What is Passover?

The major Jewish spring festival that commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, lasting seven or eight days from the 15th day of Nisan. The term is derived from the Hebrew pasach which means "to pass over."

What is the prophetic significance of these events?

“Over the last 500 years, these lunar events all falling on holy days were an announcement of a time of tears and tribulation that ended in tremendous national triump for the Jewish people,” says Hagee. “There are no solar of lunar accidents; every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God to send signals to humanity of coming events.”

In “Four Blood Moons,” Hagee cautions that while no one knows the mind of God, the anticipation of these events does tell us that God is getting ready to change the course of human history.

Chocolate Oatmeal Porridge

This is one of those breakfast meals that I have grown-up with. This is definitely my all-time favorite. And now that I am already a parent, my kid like it too. Every afternoon at home, I will cook this dish for her and she will behave like a really cute tiny puppy.

We can also substitute rice over oats. The preparation of this meal is not that difficult and the details is listed below:

Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup hot water2 cups milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup steel cut oats (just bought an original-flavored oatmeal pack from the grocery store)
  • 5 tablespoons honey

Directions:
Dissolve cocoa powder in hot water in a saucepan; add milk and bring to a boil. Add salt and oats; simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until oatmeal has thickened, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in honey.

What Evansville, IN Can Offer?

Whenever we are given the Grace from Above, we should not let the opportunities slip away. I've had wonderful memories from visiting truly wonderful places and I am looking forward to see some more. Bringing my awareness to a new place, I am encouraged to explore a diversified but more of a historic atmosphere. I am in an area that is the far east side of Evansville and is very close to all of the east side shopping. It is also minutes away from Eastland Mall, many restaurants, Best Buy, Super Wal-Mart, Target, Circuit City, Home Depot, Lowes, movie theater. There are nice quiet streets in this area and busier streets. Evansville also happens to be the cultural, financial and medical hub of southwest Indiana, and one of the most commercially vital cities in the Illinois-Indiana-Kentucky tri-state area.

I would like to check them myself and see how to recommend this city for anyone who is looking for a fun weekend get-away. Google map says that the city is located between Illinois and Kentucky on the Ohio River. Evansville offers a great number of things to do and attractions to see.

There are literally hundreds of stores with great shopping in Evansville, with the Eastland Mall home to many of them. There are plenty of specialty shops as well. To top that is an oriental store that an Asian like me should first look for if I need to rush for cooking ingredients. If eating is a main priority, then Evansville will fill the bill. There are so many great restaurants in Evansville and it is hard to choose which one to try first. I was informed by my co-workers with many nice restaurants to visit like Turoni's Pizzery. It is a place-to-go for a delicious thin-crust pizza.

Evansville offers a lively nightlife with plenty of bars, pubs and clubs. There is also a comedy club and is only a short distance from attractions like the Museum of Art, History and Science as well as the Mesker Park Zoo.

I am looking forward to seeing great things about the place. Thank LORD JESUS for the wondeful blessing of being in this place too.

June 20, 2014:
It's been more than 3 months now and still I have not gone to any of the following places I listed here. I have been to Vanderburgh Public Library in downtown and USI Burdette trail but still wishing I could visit some before I fly back home to my homecountry.

June 27, 2014
I went to AZZIP pizza parlor for a Roasted Chicken veggie-topped treat. :)

Someone Familiar or Someone Who Makes Your Heart Flutter?

What do you choose? For me, it depends on many and many reasons. I would rather let the situation do its thing but a sincere prayer definitely will do the rest. I do believe in getting to know a person first than get enchanted by love at first site (oh "sight" I mean). Always believe that a "responsible" person is just right there.

Look for things that bring you a SMILE"  ^____^

무시하고 거부했습니다. ㅠㅠ

I think I don't understand something but I do understand that I am being ignored, rejected, and forgotten. Why women cannot understand actions, why do we always need some words spoken or just mere expression through words. Maybe I did something bad or did something wrong or said something inappropriate or simply I annoyed someone. If that's so, I would like to really say "sorry". I was just trying.. to.. (become a foreigner friend as I always wanted to try but.. I'm not sure.. Not sure what other people think about that.)

I wanted to say this again to you, "thank you" for an immediate help given. I will never forget such kindness. :) #cheerup

There is another write up that goes: Women are looking for a different kind of attention that makes them weak at the knees. The kind where a man seems to think you're the only woman on earth for him. A woman he can barely live without. A woman he wants to spend time with. A woman he will pine for when he can't be near her. When a man would rather be with me than anywhere else on earth, that's the kind of thing that makes me feel special and beautiful inside and out.

I think it's a connection that makes all the difference. And a sense of humor is imperative. If a man has a quick sense of humor, some women are immediately attracted. The most important characteristics aren't always quickly seen, it can take time for him to reveal all the aspects of his personality. A man who loves God with his whole heart, who is compassionate, who loves children and the downtrodden, a humble yet confidant man, a man of intelligence, someone who can really connect... these are the things I respect, the things that bind me to a man. I do love a man who is in control. I've found that I personally like to be dominated. I'm a strong person, but I'm also submissive and I like to please. Someone who will do and get help in the areas he needed help in and when he wasn't working on making himself a better man, it is good to know that he is working on being a dad and a husband who is worthy of being loved in return. No matter where you are in a relationship (friendly or not), remember to treat your partner the way you would want to be treated.

By the way, I just read a joke that makes me smile every time it think about it,..............A horse walks into a bar, the bartender asks, "why the long face?"

To translate since I am carrying English as my second language, is it "why you look sad?"

Hahaha!

My faith does not depend in Horoscopes. There "this" one exists.

With Guacamole Please

• brown rice
• black beans
• grilled chicken
• diced tomatoes and onions
• corns and beans
• grated cheese
• guacamole
• one yummy feast
• natural water

In one phrase: ma-fave burrito bowl!!

There are so many places to visit and to dine in or dine out along Green River Rd. It is so amazing and I am really grateful that I was only dreaming of having this sumptous dish way back home but now I was able to savor the same yummy flavors of this ever delicious Mexican dish I've had at MA. The thunder roars like a lion and lightning smashed from the sky right now while I lullaby my eyes to sleep. Reading a good book is helpful or studying is fun. Anyhow, I must lay them to sleep for the next day. Early to bed, early to rise, is the goal just to be precised. GOD, thank you for another great day! :)

And the rain downpours...

Castaneas Treat

Richly flavored, starchy, chestnuts are popular cool season edible nuts of the northern hemisphere. The nuts are native to hilly forest of China, Japan, Europe, and North America. Botanically they belong to the beech or Fagaceae family of the genus: Castenea. Scientific name: Castanea sativa.

Castaneas are very large deciduous trees. They are monoecious, bearing both male and female flowers (“catkins”), in the same tree. They have a remarkable history to narrate. Early in the 20th century, the once mighty American-chestnut tree was mostly wiped out by pathogenic fungus chestnut blight (Cryphonectria parasitica). A renewed interest has been growing since then to revive native chestnut trees throughout of the USA.

Fresh chestnut fruits have about 180 calories (800 kJ) per 100 grams of edible parts, which is much lower than walnuts, almonds, other nuts and dried fruit (about 600 kcal/100 g). Chestnuts contain no cholesterol and contain very little fat, mostly unsaturated, and no gluten.

Their carbohydrate content compares with that of wheat and rice; chestnuts have twice as much starch as the potato. In addition, chestnuts contain about 8 percent of various sugars, mainly sucrose, glucose, fructose, and, in less amount, stachyose, and raffinose. In some areas, sweet chestnut trees are called "the bread tree". When chestnuts are just starting to ripen, the fruit is mostly starch and is very firm under finger pressure from the high water content. As the chestnuts ripen, the starch is slowly converted into sugars; and moisture content also starts decreasing. Upon pressing the chestnut, a slight 'give' can be felt; the hull is not so tense, and there is space between it and the flesh of the fruit. The water is being replaced by sugars, which means better conservation. (Source: Wikipedia)

The boiled or asphalt-cooked (roasted) breadnuts are high in protein and low in fat. It is truly expensive in my home country (almost $2 for 0.25KG). On the other hand, this the most tastier type of nut one can savor and its peelabity is one of the best feature it can offer. Its selling season is very rampant during Christmas maybe because it is costly and people only can afford more during this season.

The seeds are encased out of a thick gooey coating and then they are roasted for quite a long time. I wish to find a place where these can be bought but I think I might have a hard time.
